Attendance “Count Week”
Student Attendance “Count Week” is the week of October 6th-10th. Parents, during the entire week of October 6th, we are required to report our student attendance to the state as part of our participation in the administrative cost reimbursement program. This process allows Linden Grove to be eligible for state funds based on the average percentage of our student’s attendance. For example, if we are able to report 100% attendance we will be eligible for the maximum amount of money. This money directly affects our budget and can make a big difference on programmatic decisions. In order to maximize these funds we ask you to strive for perfect attendance for your child during that week. Please consider scheduling appointments outside of school hours. Thank you for your support.

After School Art
After school art forms are due by October 3. If you need a form printed out let Elizabeth Ewers know.

Picture Day October 16th and 17th
Pictures are coming up on October 16th for teams K-2, 2-4 and 4-6 and October 17th for team 6-8. Enclosed in today’s take home folder will be a Teddy Bear picture order form. Please return the picture order form by Friday, October 10th. If you have any questions please contact Elizabeth Ewers at eewers@lindengroveschool.org.

School Reach
With the winter season and colder weather approaching, there could be the possibility of school closings and/or delays. Any changes in the operation of school will be broadcast to all Linden Grove families via School Reach. With School Reach, a phone call will be placed to each family with a recorded message stating how the school will operate that day. Typically the school will either be on a 90 minute delay or the school will be closed. If there is a 90 minute delay, students may begin arriving to school at 9:40am. School will start school at 9:50am. Delays and closings will also be broadcast on WLWT Channel 5.

In your registration paperwork, you were given a School Reach form to complete. On this form, each family was asked to list up to 2 phone numbers in which they wanted the closing or delay notification to be delivered to. If any phone number(s) you previously listed on your school reach form has changed, or if you need to add or delete any contacts/phone numbers, please inform Elizabeth Ewers at eewers@lindengroveschool.org.
