Drop Off/Pick Up Reminders
Just a few things to keep in mind about drop off and pick up- there are two ways you can drop-off your child, Escort or Walk In. These are defined in your Parent-Student Handbook. If a parent/driver needs to escort children or a child into the building, they need to park on the Plainfield side of the parking lot. It is very important you do not park and escort you child from the drop-off side of the building. This becomes a safety concern. If your child is having a rough morning and needs time before they can transition into the building please park on the Plainfield side.

As for pick-up, please do not enter the building until 2:55 pm unless your child is supposed to be picked up at an earlier time. Parents are welcome to pick up their child/children when the 3:00 pm bell rings. Thank you for your cooperation and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or questions.

Week 4: Homework
Starting this week, homework for all subjects may be sent home. If you have any particular concerns or struggles with the homework contact your child’s teacher.

Pizza/Spirit Day
This Friday, September 19th will be the first pizza and spirit day of this school year and will continue to be every third Friday of the month. Pizza will be served to the students during their lunch time. Students do not need to pack a lunch on this day, however, please send a drink in with your child. The spirit theme for this month is major league baseball. Students may wear their favorite major league baseball team apparel. Parent Helpers for Pizza Day: Trisha Armetta, Dell Grunenberg, and Kate Dorizas.

After School Activities Dismissal
If your child is participating in an after school activity and they are not going to aftercare afterwards (meaning you intend to pick them up immediately after the activity ends) they will be waiting for you on the Rainbow Bench next to the front door. Please do not go to the room where the activity is taking place to pick your child up. The instructor will escort them to the rainbow bench at the end of the class. If you arrive early to pick up your child from an after school activity and no one is answering the door, you can call the aftercare teacher at 513 984-2215 ext 111. If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Ewers.

Spirit Wear Order
We will be placing a spirit wear order on Wednesday. If you are still interested in ordering spirit wear please send the order form in by Wednesday morning and we will accept checks make them out to LGS. If you have any questions contact Elizabeth Ewers.

Therapy Dog
It is our pleasure to introduce Linden Grove School’s newest “staff” member, Stella. Stella was referred to Linden Grove via Ms. Parker, 6-8 team teacher and owner of Stella. Stella is a certified therapy dog and has all of her shots. She will be coming to Linden Grove every Monday, starting September 22nd, so students can read to her and so she can help students relax and self-regulate. On occasion, she might be here on other days, too. We feel fortunate to have Stella as part of our team, as it is well-known (and scientifically proven) that interaction with a gentle, friendly pet has significant benefits. Click here for more information!
