COUNTDOWN TO LINDEN GROVE’S AUCTION

Basket Theme Deadline is Past Due!

Many families have not informed us of their basket theme for the Auction. Please stop in and indicate your theme on the sheet on the “Parent” bulletin board. You can also email Elizabeth with your theme. Always keep in mind alcohol type baskets do very well. We also could use any vacation get a ways if anyone has a vacation home that they will be willing to auction for a week or so. We also are still in need of sponsors. If you have any sponsors please contact Linda or Theresa.

Let’s make this an event to remember!

Happy New Year!
As we reflect on 2014, we would like to thank all of our supporters, donors, families, volunteers, Board Members and staff. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you do to support the children we serve and our mission.

School Reach Information
Linden Grove School uses a telephone broadcast system that enables school personnel to notify all households and parents by phone within minutes of an emergency or unplanned event that causes early dismissal, school cancellation or late start. This service is provided by School Reach, a company specializing in school-to-parent communications. Linden Grove will also broadcast school closings and delays due to inclement weather on WLWT Channel 5 and will use this system as an overlay to the public announcements.

When used, the service will simultaneously call all listed phone numbers in our parent contact list and will deliver a recorded message from Linda Hart, Principal of Administration. The service will deliver the message to both live answer and answering machines. No answers and busies will be automatically retried twice in fifteen minute intervals after the initial call.

Caller ID: The Caller ID will display 513-984-2215, which is the main number for Linden Grove School.
Live Answers: There is a short pause at the beginning of the message, usually just a few seconds. Answer your phone as you normally would; “hello” and hold for the message to begin. Multiple “hello’s” will delay the message. Inform all family members of this process who may answer your phone of this process.
Answering Machines: The system will detect that your machine has answered and will play the recording to your machine. The maximum number of rings before hang-up is five. Make sure your machine answers after four rings or you may miss the message.
Message Repeat: At the end of the message you will be prompted to ‘press one’ to hear the message again. This is very helpful when a child answers the phone and hands it to a parent, who can then ‘repeat’ the message in its entirety.

Progress Notes
2nd Quarter Progress Reports will be sent home with the students on January 9th in their take home folder. If you have any questions please contact Elizabeth Ewers at eewers@lindengroveschool.org.
