All students will be tested the week of May 4th-15th. Please be sure your child gets plenty of sleep during this week so they can test at their fullest potential. The results (scores) from your child’s assessments will be sent home to you prior to the end of the school year.
The deadline to sign up for the summer program is April 15th. Although it may be possible to sign up after April 15th, we will be basing our staffing needs on how many students are signed up by April 15th. Therefore, we cannot guarantee a slot after April 15th. If you have not received the registration information or have any questions contact Elizabeth Ewers.
Upcoming End of Year Events
We are quickly approaching the end of the 2014-2015 school year. Can you believe there are only 7 more weeks left until summer break? With that being said, listed below are several upcoming events that will be taking place:
May 4th–15th – Testing Week
May 11th-15th – Scholastic Book Fair (more information to come soon)
May 26th – 8th Grade Graduation at 7pm
May 27th – Field Trip (all grades & location TBD)
May 28th – Field Day for students at 10am
May 28th – Awards Ceremony at 11am (families are invited to attend)
May 28th – End of Year Luncheon for students, families and staff at 12pm
May 28th – Last day of school! All students may leave after the luncheon and there are no After Care services.
Save the Date!
The Autism Walk is scheduled for Saturday May 16th at Coney Island. Once again, Linden Grove is forming a “team” to walk as a group at the event. The walk starts at 10am and registration will begin at 8am. The distance of the walk is 1.5 miles. If you would like to participate, please email Elizabeth Ewers at firstname.lastname@example.org. An action packed parent meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12th from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. You will not want to miss the last parent meeting of the year. You will vote on our exciting slate of potential new board members and receive school updates. If you know of anyone that you would like to add to the slate please contact Linda Hart by Friday, April 24th.
At the parent meeting you will also be able to shop at the book fair as well as buy a piece of jewelry from Stella & Dot’s summer collection. 20% of our total purchase will be donated to Linden Grove! More information will be coming regarding the book fair and and Stella & Dot.
