Parents and Staff Partner to Prepare for First Day of School

LGS parents and staff are working together to ensure the LGS school environment looks and feels bright and organized when students arrive on their first day of the new school year.

Parents and staff sign-up to work one of three different Saturdays during the summer, helping to do whatever needs to be done: cleaning countertops and shelves, sorting and inventorying supplies, changing bulletin boards, and more. This year LGS is particular grateful for additional help from families and supporters in painting hallways and classrooms, as well as assembling new furniture.

Linden Grove School is a “parent-cooperative” encouraging and embracing parent participation. Parents play an integral part not only in the success of their students, but also in the continued growth and development of LGS programs, services and resources. Parents support classroom activities and school-wide events, donate professional expertise and resources for school operations, support LGS fundraising and community-outreach efforts, and may also serve on the school’s Board of Trustees.
