Last week Linden Grove School hosted a LEGO Symposium open to interested educators and administrators in the local area. Ivery Toussant from LEGO Education began the day with the infamous duck build and shared about his experiences in the classroom as well as his career with LEGO. The keynote speaker was Bev Ketron who is the education director at iSPACE, a non-profit organization serving the Greater Cincinnati Region whose mission is to make learning exciting by providing engaging Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs to schools, families and the community.
Matt Mobilio, Dawn Klinczar, and Meredith Rooney presented LEGO’s WeDo, Story Starter, and Build to Express programs and how they can be incorporated into the classroom to support curriculum as well as how they are utilized specifically at Linden Grove. We concluded the day with a Q&A panel including the presenters as well as Kristin Tennyson and Linda Hart. It was a great opportunity for Linden Grove to host LEGO Education as well as the participants, who all helped to make the day a success.
