Art activities—like music, painting, drawing and dramatic play—allow students to practice self-expression, which is great for emotional health and happiness. Art activities encouraging self-expressions and creativity are also associated with better academic outcomes, including higher reading, writing, science and math scores.
This week’s Summer Camp activities encouraged students to enjoy a week of art activities and self-expression. A highlight of the week was the opportunity to students to paint pottery provided by Bare 2 Brilliant.
Thank you to this local art studio for their part in encouraging students to let their inner artist shine!
