We played a school wide game of Giants, Wizards, and Goblins and to quote one of our seventh graders, “It was epic.” Each team went over the rules of the game before everyone met outside at the end of the first day of school. Students were divided into two groups, and each group had to decide together whether they were going to be giants, wizards, or goblins. When the whistle blew, students and staff ran to the line of scrimmage and on the count of three revealed their choice. Different characters beat each other and if you were the winning character, you tried to tag someone and bring them over to your side of the field. Several times we even had a tie where both teams decided to be the same thing! We celebrated afterwards in honor of National Banana Split Day.
