The Great Pumpkin Race 2016

Thank you all for joining us at the Holy Grail by Great American Ballpark for the Great Pumpkin Race 2016! We were glad to see our supporters for this fun event we participate in each year. LGS won for “Best Branding,” 3rd year in a row! Linden Grove  students help build and design the pumpkin. This year our theme is:

“Awesome, Linden Grove is.” (Star Wars)

Family Pumpkin Race

The Great Pumpkin Race is a family event you will not want to miss!

Gather your family and friends together and get your creative juices flowing. Design and build a Pumpkin Racer that will defy all odds. Your Pumpkin Racer will compete against other Pumpkin Racers. Down a ramp they will go with the finish line in sight. The Race is hilarious to watch and a lot of fun!

How to build your pumpkin?
~ Register at www.autismcincy.org/pumpkin-race-family
~ Purchase your Race Kit that includes wheels, axels and hardware for $30. For those Racers from past events, you may use your old supplies!
~ Pick up your kit at the Pick Up Points of our Partner Autism Providers listed below.
~ Let your imagination go!

Faces of Autism

The Partners Committee of the Autism Society of Greater Cincinnati will be hosting an awards event on Thursday, November 5th at Cooper Creek Event Center in Blue Ash to recognize individuals and groups within our community that have significantly impacted individuals with autism and their families. Pick Up/Drop Off Next Week

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

NEXT WEEK DROP OFF/PICK UP PROCEDURES

Due to St. Saviour’s Festival set up and tear down, all parents must use the drop off line next week (Tuesday – Friday) and Monday of the following week for both drop off and pick up. Please enter Linden Grove School from the entrance off of Myrtle Avenue and exit off onto Lake Rd.

During Drop Off: Staff will be in the parking lot to assist with the students. Please do not get out of your car and walk your child into the building while in the car line. If you must enter the building with your child, parking will be very limited on the grass.

During Pick Up: Your child/children will be escorted to your car. Please do not get out of your car while in the car line. It would be very helpful if you put your child/children’s name on a piece of paper and stick it in your windshield to make pick up easier.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause; however the St.Saviour Festival is one of their major fundraisers and we want to make sure LGS is doing their part in supporting them. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation!

Fourth Friday Picnics

On the Fourth Friday of every Month, we will be having picnic lunches during lunch time! Whenever the weather is good, we will have our picnic lunches outside. If the weather is bad, don’t fret… the picnic is still on, as we will picnic in the Sensory Room on the 2nd floor!

How can you help? Please send in lunches that do NOT need to be microwaved on Fourth Friday Picnic Days. Of course, if you have a child with an extremely limited diet and you must send in a lunch that must be heated up, please let your child’s lunchroom supervisor know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
