Tuition Assistance

Children with autism tend to learn differently from other kids.

Without personalized attention and a distinctive teaching approach, they may struggle in school, often developing feelings of apprehension and anxiety.

Linden Grove School (LGS) — with its small class sizes and research-based methods — can make a difference.

But the tuition is more than some families can afford.

Each year, at least 20% of LGS families apply for tuition assistance. And as the school continues to grow, so does the need.

Support a student.

Your contribution will provide tuition assistance for qualifying families so no student is denied the education and encouragement he or she deserves.

Amounts ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 per student are needed for 2018-2019.

GE Funds After-School Robotics

Science and technology are integral components of today’s educational landscape. The GE Engineering Product Integration Center (PIC) department not only donated $1,500 toward the cost of piloting a Robotics after-school program at LGS, more importantly, they provided mentors to work side by side with our students.

The donation went toward the purchase of LEGO® EV3 MINDSTORM robots and an instructor from ISpace. ISpace is a non-profit organization that promotes, supports, and hosts engaging Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs to schools. This was such a wonderful opportunity for our students and Linden Grove School. Because of the overwhelming success of the program, Robotics is now being offered as an elective to our 6-8 grade students.

“I appreciate the opportunity to work with the students at the Linden Grove School. The students demonstrated determination and focus, listening to the directions, programming their robot, troubleshooting and finally celebrating their success. This is what school is all about and a hands-on activity such as this was the perfect opportunity,” said Colin Vogt, a GE Aviation mentor.
