Below are some great questions to ask yourself while seeking out a school for your child. These questions could apply to any school, so whether LGS is a good fit, or not, feel free to use this page as a resource. 


Questions to ask when considering LGS

•    Walk me through a typical day at Linden Grove School.

•    How does the school determine if a student is a good fit?

•    What does parent participation look like at Linden Grove School?

•    How does Linden Grove School handle parent concerns? 

•    Tell me about the communication between parents and teachers. How often? What methods of communication are used most?

•    What does homework look like at Linden School?

•    What after-school social opportunities are available?

•    Does LGS have before-school or after-care services available?

•    What types of school-wide activities does LGS have?  (Ex:  field trips, assemblies, etc.)

•    Is transportation offered at LGS?

•    How does LGS specifically address a student's social skill needs?  How is it individualized?

•    How does LGS meet students' sensory needs?

•    How does LGS address life skills?  Is a student able to meet both their academic and life skills needs?  If so, how?

•    Does LGS have Speech and Occupational Therapy Services?  What does that look like at your school?

•    Are there licensed therapists and guidance counselors available to students? How do students qualify for these services?

•    What standardized tests will my child take each year? How much class time is used to prepare and administer standardized tests?

•    Is there a parent whom I can contact to get their perspective on the school?
