Social-Emotional Learning

Linden Grove School utilizes the Responsive Classroom approach, incorporating activities to encourage social and emotional growth into an academic curriculum.  We believe social skills are as important as academics, and we use a range of cognitive and behavioral curriculum resources, including Social Thinking, that teach not only what to do but why, and behavioral skills training.

Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts and other specialists work in collaboration with the entire staff to help students develop the skills to manage their emotions, communicate effectively and learn and play cooperatively.
